Niall Scullion and Rod Devries are the founding directors and principal consultants of addology, and with over 50 combined years of experience working with, and consulting to, large multinational and listed companies, their vast experience spans accounting, finance, audit, IT, business systems, reporting, analytics, project delivery and shared services.
Niall is a qualified Chartered Accountant with Big 4 training and over twenty years post-qualification experience. He has managed and successfully delivered a number of large scale finance and business transformational projects for various blue-chip organisations in both Australia and Europe including Mirvac, Qantas, Oracle, Diageo and Pfizer.
He is a proven and driven project manager, with excellent management skills and a wealth of “hands-on” experience, specialising in the design and delivery of business solutions from a people, process and technology perspective, as well as the centralisation of processes into Shared Service Centre (SSC) environments. Niall has the inimitable ability to quickly absorb and understand the detail and complexity of any issue. He is a motivating and empowering leader with a “can-do” attitude, who always delivers quality results. Niall is passionate about always finding ways to improve existing processes.
Niall is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, having trained with Ernst & Young in Dublin. Niall also holds a Masters Degree in Business (Accounting) and a Professional Diploma in Accounting, both from Dublin City University, as well as a BA Economics from University College Dublin.
Rod is a highly regarded, motivated and focused professional with extensive executive level experience in the analysis, design and delivery of strategically integrated business systems. For more than 20 years of his 30 year career, Rod has been engaged in senior management roles responsible for leading information, system and technology strategy development and execution, directing enterprise architecture and solution design, driving operational excellence across the business systems landscape, and building high performing teams to deliver, manage and support business systems operations, initiatives, projects and continuous improvement.
Rod’s comprehensive experience spanning commercial accounting, external and internal audit, operational review, compliance and governance, IT, and business systems has enabled him to forge a unique and specialised skillset in integrating critical system components. He has worked for organisations such as Mirvac Group, Amalgamated Holdings Limited and BDO. His knowledge and expertise in assimilating people, processes and technology, delivering value through efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, control, and integrity, as well as integrating financial and operational business information, is second to none.
Rod is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant with CPA Australia and holds a Bachelor of Business Degree, with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology Sydney. He is also a member of ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association).
